Hi Ilshat,
great to hear from you! I've seen you've already posted a WIP version of
your proposal, keep up the good work :)
There is actually very little information about the ranking process
inside each organization. I only found this post by Wayne Beaton:

It is possible to give a score in Google's Tool but since I guess there
will be mostly people which are themselves either mentors or students, I
don't quite get the point.
I'll CC this message to jwt-dev, I think Florian may have additional
information since he once attended a GSoC BoF :)

Hi Ilshat,
as you mentioned, we should discuss the details of the proposal over the
next few days.
Since you already had a look at the JWT source and the wiki, maybe you've
already acquired some basic idea of how this feature could be implemented
but please don't hesitate to ask if anything is unclear.
Our general idea was to use JWT's view mechanism to realize the BPMN view as
an additional option to the existing views but limit the amount of changes
the existing metamodel (some will probably nevertheless be necessary). There
are in my opinion a few things in JWT which require improvement and possibly
the addition of new features to make this happen.
An overview of the steps to include BPMN would in my opinion look something
like this:
1. Metamodels
a) Study BPMN metamodel (BPMN2 specification)
b) Map JWT elements to BPMN(2) elements where possible
c) Define additional elements through aspects (e.g. Events)
d) Extend/Refactor JWT metamodel where a) and b) are not possible
2. Extend Editor
a) Allow a flexible hierarchy of graphical (Draw2d) elements (e.g. JWT
Action Figures are currently contained in Scope Figures but for should
probably be contained in JWT Roles which may correspond to BPMN swimlanes).
This hierarchy is determined by the editparts. Also commands for creating
elements may need to be adjusted to support this structure. My idea would be
a mapping that allows to define an arbitrary tree hierarchy for JWT elements
which is then used for graphical representation, emf commands (create child,
...), tree representation (e.g. outline view) etc.
b) ... (to be determined)
3. Graphical View
a) Define visual representation of meta model elements for BPMN (Figures,
Icons)
b) Allow GEF to correctly draw the visual representation (e.g. layouting of
the swimlanes)
Of course, it would probably be good to carry out these steps iteratively,
maybe starting from a prototype implementation as you suggested, working
your way up to the final version.

I expected a delay because of EclipseCon, that's ok but please keep in
mind the gsoc timeline. And yes, I figured out to concentrate on JWT
project :)

Hello Christian,
how are you? I hope you have time to respond to my mail)
The gsoc application process will start from March 29-th so I want to
discuss my proposal details etc.
PS. I installed the newest version of Eclipse and checked out the JWT
sources according to [1]. I think It would be better to start coding
some prototype ideas right now.
