Hi all,
as Florian already
announced, we are currently in the process of migrating the development that happened
in the last few months from the CVS branch (views_multiple) to the head and create
a branch of the current head release (v0.6.0). This is necessary because the impact
on the code base is big: The meta model has been sourced out into its own
project so it can be used independently of JWT, e.g. for transformations. Also
the view information (location, size, references) has been restructured so it
can be stored in a separate file (*.workflow_view). Also it is now possible to assign
a position and size to an object depending on the selected view. To make
layouting easier, several algorithms from the GEF Zest project have been
integrated.
Thanks to Florian’s
converter, it will be possible to load 0.6.0 files into the new workflow
editor, although it is advisable to create a backup beforehand until the
routines have been tested extensively. Because of the big changes in the code
base it is not advisable to directly make an update from the CVS if you currently
have checked out parts of JWT. Instead please redirect your local configuration
to the newly created branch and migrate possible changes to a newly checked out
head revision.
The migration will
take place in the next few days and is planned to be finished by the end of the
week.
Regards,
Chris

Betreff: [jwt-dev] Converter for multiple views
Hi Chris,
I just adapted the converter on the new
views branch. There are still some issues in generating the view file, but as a
first draft it hopefully should work. The problem is on my PC right now, that
Eclipse does not want to integrate Zest, so I can’t test the
transformations at the moment...
But with this converter, you should have
the possibility to switch the branch to the head (as discussed last week) after
announcing all the changes and the switch date, etc., of course.
Best regards,
Florian
