[gmf-dev] Introduction

Hello GMF team,

I'm a going to be a contributor to the
GMF-runtime diagram core components.  

I have an extensive history with diagramming
and large scale application development going back over 13 years.  I
started my career at Corel Corporation where I was involved as a developer
and lead with their graphics applications.  

After moving to Rational / IBM (originally
Objectime) I have subsequently been involved with 3 different modeling
applications and their diagram components: Rational Rose Realtime, Rational
XDE and finally the Rational Software Architect products.  The runtime
which is being submitted to GMF is part of the core technology in the Rational
Software Architect product.  

I see many challenges ahead for the
diagram core that myself and my team will be embarking on.  Specifically,
enhancing it's generic graphics capability, increasing the usability in
general (this will never end!) and of course reusability, consumability
as a core component in GMF.  Free free to send any feedback my way
once you've had a chance to explore the diagramming runtime components
and examples.
