Subject: [geclipse-user] proxy expired
Hi,
We’ve got a strange problem here. The problem is that we
cannot contact the VOMS server to activate the proxy certificate.
G-eclipse tells us: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(SocketInputStream.java:168)
at org.globus.gsi.gssapi.SSLUtil.read(SSLUtil.java:42)
and the server logs something similar to this:
The certificate has expired: Credential with
subject: /C=IT/O=GILDA/OU=Personal Certificate/L=fhv/CN=bernhard
winder/CN=proxy has expired.
(The subject is different – I copied and pasted this one
from the link mentioned below).
Actually in the geclipse-dev mailing list archives this
problem has been mentioned – but unfortunately no final solution is given.
See: http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/geclipse-dev/msg01957.html
The certificate is OK. It is not expired. The system time of
the client is also ok. The JVM used is one from sun, and the Ca certificate is
also OK.
The strange thing is that from the same machine with another
application (Vlet browser) there is no problem in contacting the VOMS server
and a valid proxy is created.
Do you have any idea?
Cheers,
Machiel
