i can now confirm that some revisions got really lost. 
In particular for instance one class that i had committed sometime last 
week,
 
svnroot/technology/eu.geclipse/trunk/plugins/eu.geclipse.ui/src/eu/geclipse/ui/dialogs/AccessControlRuleDialog.java

So gEclipse committers  please DON'T COMMIT ANYTHING MORE (even if you can) 
until the problem is solved, otherwise we will have a branched/messed up 
repository!
