Hi all,

thank you for taking my request seriously. For me the placement of the
Task View is not the main issue but the shipment of Mylyn in itself.
Moving the view somewhere else does not help. I would like to get rid of
the preference pages, the help pages, the downloaded jars. Everything
clutter for me.

But I can see now that the story is controversial and not discussed the
first time. In the archives there is a similar discussion from 2015 that
end in no results. The facts that Mylyn is useless to me in combination
with very low contributor activity has led me to the conclusion that it
can be removed without much hassle. Obvioulsy this is not the case. As
removal of a feature is always much more hard than adding one I would
propose to close this issue.
