Re: [epp-dev] Still justified to ship Mylyn with almost all distributions?

 Hi,

I think it is fine that Mylyn is include in the EPPs, as it is really
stable and useful for its users.

The one thing they could improve IMHO is not to add their views to
standard perspectives. Several of my customers complained about that
in the past. Not sure what the guidelines for Eclipse contributions
are but Mylyn is AFAIK the only plug-in which does that.

Unfortunately, https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=480696
was rejected.

So maybe an improvement would be to keep Mylyn but remove its views
from standard perspectives? This would reduce annoyance for none Mylyn
users and Mylyn users could simply open these views.

Best regards, Lars
