[epp-dev] package-wise source code & bug data information
|
Hi,
I am using Eclipse as my case study for research.
I contacted someone from the EMO in Eclipse and he suggested me to post
my questions to specific projects. I had some questions about the
packages provided in Eclipse.
1) How can I know exactly which modules(files or plugins) are present in
a particular Eclipse package, e.g. Java developer. If I want to have the
source code for the entire package, is it possible to download it from
the CVS/SVN repository with a single command using some tag, etc? If
not, I would like to know what all modules or list of plugins are in
each package so that I can download the corresponding source code for
each of them from the repository.
2) If I want to know the total number of bugs for a package, e.g. Java
EE package, how can I find it in Bugzilla? While reporting the error, if
the user only knows that error is in some Eclipse package he downloaded
but does not know the specific project where the error is, then how is
the bug filed?
I am not able to get information for these things. I would appreciate
any help.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Sandeep Krishnan
