[epp-dev] Re: EPP release review documentation - draft
|
Markus, we have just a few small changes we'd like you to make to your
slides.
Please replace the URL you have for the IP Log with this one, which is
the frozen copy that has been uploaded to the website:
http://www.eclipse.org/projects/slides/EPP_eclipse-project-ip-log.csv
In section 3.1, please change "mainly in the form of web pages" to be
"only in the form of web pages."
In section 3.2, please explain that there are no plans to provide
other translations.
In section 11, please be a bit more specific about your schedule
dates. We like to see what the original planned dates were, and what
the actual dates were -- a comparison to see how close you were to
your plan. If you didn't have dates in your project plan, please just
say that you didn't have an original schedule.
Once you've made those changes, please send me the both the source
file and the pdf. Then you'll be all ready for your review! Thanks.

Hi *,
as promised, here is a _draft_ version of the documentation for the
release
review. Please read through it and send me feedback about missing,
wrong,
etc. things until tomorrow (yes, Tuesday, 4pm CEST / 10am EDT, it
must be
available tomorrow!)
@Anne, if you send me the bugzilla # of the review, I'll include it
in the
documentation.
Thanks and regards,
Markus

Hi *,
here is some information about the next few steps. I hope you
remember that
we discussed the fact of a Release Review in the past and we agreed
to have
it in May (see http://www.eclipse.org/epp/plan.php).
* We need to go through a Release Review this year, because this
time we
are shipping code with Ganymede (i.e. the Usage Data Collector). Our
initial plan was to have the review on May 28th, but it is now
scheduled on
May 20th by the EMO (http://www.eclipse.org/projects/whatsnew.php)
* For the Release Review we need a complete IP Log that must be
checked by
Eclipse Legal before. I compiled the IP Log today and sent it to
the IP
team for review. They already approved the log. A copy can be found
here:
http://www.eclipse.org/epp/project-info/eclipse-project-ip-log.csv
* I'll prepare the necessary Release Review Documentation (must be
published until next Tuesday) and send it to the mailing list for
review,
but it won't be ready before Monday.
