[epp-dev] Re: Packaging Project (EPP) and Europa

Hi all,
to keep you informed about the IP process...
The code contribution of Instantiations and the check-in into the CVS
repository was possible because of EPP being a project in Incubation Phase
(i.e. we could use the Parallel IP Process). But it is written somewhere on
the eclipse.org pages that we need to do a full review of the code
contribution before shipping the code in form of a 'release'.
But this is exactly what we need to do if we deliver download packages
including the installer for Europa. At this point I saw some problems coming
up.
Therefore we started a discussion with Janet and the Eclipse Foundation last
week how to avoid this problem. The conclusion: Janet and her team will
review the contribution in time! Thanks, Janet.
Janet, I hope that I got everything right... if not, please comment on the EPP
mailinglist. What are the next steps for us?
