[epf-dev] New version of OpenUP library using Composer M4 build

Hello everyone,

There is a new version of OpenUP available for download at http://www.eclipse.org/epf/downloads/openup/openup_downloads.php

To open this library, please use Milestone 4 build. The meta-model has changed in this milestone requiring the library to be upgraded.
The library available in CVS (and in the downloads area of EPF web site) has been upgraded already, and it cannot be used with older versions of Composer.

Attention committers who have write-access to CVS: Please DO NOT use M3 build to author content for OpenUP anymore. Install milestone 4 build available here: http://www.eclipse.org/epf/downloads/tool/epf1.0_m4_downloads.php

In order to avoid potential file inconsistency in your local copy of the OpenUP library, please DO NOT use the current repository/workspace you are working with M3         build. Please follow these steps

1) Open the new M4 build installed, pointing to the default installed library (or any temporary library)
2) Setup the "notifications to CVS server": go to menu Window -> Preferences, select Team - CVS - Watch/Edit and follow instructions
3) Create a new local repository in your EPF Composer workspace. With that, you should be able to check out the library from CVS, which already is in the new format.
4) After checking out to a new local repository, make Composer to point (File -> Open) to this new library and work from there.

Details on how to perform steps 2 and 3 above can be found on "Using EPF Composer with a Version Control System", appendix C "Support for CVS":

This process shouldn't be that painful :-) Please let me know if you need assistance.
