[eclipse.org-members-committers] Upcoming Reviews, Mar 9-16/2011

Greetings folks.

Last week, I stated that there would be no further reviews until after
EclipseCon. Well... I was wrong. That happens sometimes. I can say with
confidence that there will be no new reviews scheduled to overlap with
EclipseCon.

This week, we have one release review. Mylyn 3.5 [1] is planned to
release in time for EclipseCon. This will be the first release of Mylyn
since being promoted to our newest Top-level project. A lot of good
things are happening in the Mylyn project; it's certainly worth taking a
look.

Two creation reviews are scheduled as well: Mylyn Intent [2] and Runtime
Analysis Tools (RAT) [3].

Mylyn Intent is focused on providing an editing environment to author
documentations mixing natural and formal language, easing the
application life-cycle management by capturing the intents and design
choices made during development.

RAT provides a framework for building profilers to provide solid
performance and memory analysis tooling, which will play well with
Eclipse platform. Also the project intends to provide an exemplary
implementation of profiler for Java language. However basing on this
implementation project may serve as a foundation for building profiling
tools for other platforms and programming languages.

Please take one last look at these proposals and provide your feedback
and questions on the communication channel. Community input is an
important part the creation process.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at EclipseCon!

Wayne
