Currently the e4 workbench will write out the model at the end of the
sessions, and then read it in when it starts (so changes to the model
like view visibility or menu item icons/labels are persisted).

In the end it will have to be more complicated (doesn't it always :-)
as it needs to gracefully allow new content to show up and existing
content to go away (a la dynamic bundles)
