Re: [cdt-dev] CVS logging turned on
|
O.K., here's the trick to enable committers to have their messages turned
on.
1). ssh into dev.eclipse.org (username and password are the same you use
for CVS) and create a .forward file in your home directory with your
regular e-mail address in it
2). Go the cdt-cvs admin page and sign up your dev.eclipse.org account to
the mailing list
3). You will get a request to confirm your subscription through the
forward to your regular e-mail, reply to it.
4). Go to your option settings and turn "Disable mail delivery" to "On".
The eclipse.org sysadmin (Kim) has requested that we do it this way to
avoid traffic on the server (i.e. don't use forwarding for the mailing
list messages, use your regular e-mail account instead).

There were no logs sent out on my last commit of Andrew's work.
Do I get to operate in stealth mode?

Great suggestion. Now that we have the script in place, it should be
easier to make adjustments to it.

Boston cream, I believe it was your preference.
Some other projects to cut down on the length of the email
send just a URL, for example:
http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/mailutils/mailutils/mh/ali.c.diff?tr1=1.4&tr2=1.5&r1=text&r2=text
In any case this is great, many thanks.
