Personally, I'd let each individual project decide if they want to use
Sonar or any other similar tool. Especially because it is easy to setup,
the value of forcing this at CBI level seems questionable.

Sonar is pretty easy to use with Maven/Tycho and jenkins/Hudson. It

So since it is easy to set up, what about integrating Sonar as a piece

who said he would be glad to help in setting up Sonar at Eclipse.org,
since having Eclipse projects using Sonar is a real added-value for the
Sonar ecosystem too.
