Well, "Authorization Denied" usually means incorrect username+password. 
Are you certain that this log corresponds to your deploy attempt? 
Usually, bad auth is reported via status code 401 or 403 and not 400.

That's probably your best bet, given you can deploy to Nexus and 
Artifactory, it seems to me something with your Archiva setup isn't 
right which the Archiva folks can help you best to figure out.
