In the preference dialog the bottom part of the focus ring of the filter combo is clipped off.

I've just reproduced this for a fresh workspace on 10.4.1
Are you using the smallSystemFonts of the standard Eclipse distribution?

Looks good in 3.3M7, 10.4.9. Reason could be that the field is not a combo any more, but a Text with SWT.SEARCH | SWT.CANCEL.

Yes, the new search field does not have this problem.
