Description Christine Knight CLA 2005-04-07 12:19:34 EDT
Support parser adapter selection based on locale and char set in the log import
scenario.

Parser writers can provide adapter files for logs created under locales and
character sets. Parser writers can then create log import extention poins so
that the user importing logs will have the ability to select the locale and
character set of the log to import. There needs to be a mechanism for the
correct adpater file to be passed to the GLA based on the locale and character
set.

This is a feature enhancement request.
Comment 4 Dave Smith CLA 2005-04-08 20:06:35 EDT
This feature will require updates to the documentation for parser writers (log
parser extensions).
Comment 5 Dave Smith CLA 2005-06-17 13:15:10 EDT
Closing this feature because the requested support will be provided by the Log
Import wizard as part of the logParser extension point restructuring being done
for feature 50681.
Comment 6 Dave Smith CLA 2005-06-20 11:51:14 EDT
The investigation work to determine this 4.1 feature will be done as part of
the UI feature 50681 was done in 4.0 iteration 4.
