Commit dialog could count Changes about to be submitted. Version 3.1.M4. In the nifty bottom label, there is a label called "Changes" above the tree/list view. It could tell us in that spot how many files are about to go. (Our CVS server has a tendency to gag on large commits so I'd like an easy way to get an idea of how big a commit set is)
No plan to add this in 3.1. However, I just released a patch that prevents the commit wizard from displaying the outgoing files if the number of files exceeds a threshhold so you will get a cound of the files for large commits (>1000). See bug 84882 for the details.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
