Description Morten Hattesen CLA 2004-11-15 05:16:08 EST
When performing a Search/File... file search, it would be really useful to be
able to use regular expressions for file name matching, to allow richer pattern
matching than currently allowed (using * and ? wildcards).

It should be considered whether the pattern should match the filename.type
only, or an option should be made to match using the entire path/name.type
string, allowing files to be matched by combinations of path and filename/type.

I often have files in directories created by and scripts which I'd like to exclude from searches. So it would be nice to have a way to say "ignore all file in a 'build' directory

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
