Currently annotations are represented by the icon at special area in editor window. When user move cusor into that icon small horizontal popup appears that shows few more icons (depends on the current annotation) and in order to see all descriptions it is necessary to move mouse cursor trough these icons. It will be interesting to see how similar popup may work if annotation icons will be stacked vertically. I have feeling that it would be possible to show annotations descriptions at the right hand from these vertically stacked icons and when user move mouse over these icons it may show a longer roll-over popup.
Did you enable annotation roll-overs? Per default they are stacked on each other (most relevant on top) and when you hover over it it will show a summary of all hovers.
Yes, rollover is enabled. Without it all annotations are just list (e.g. you can't click to "go to super implementation"). I'm suggesting to make that list look and behave more like a menu and stack items vertically in the rollover mode. By the way, I noticed that I can't find rollover setting in 3.1M3. Can you please remind me where it is?
Tom, please comment you proto-typed most in this area. The setting is in Java > Editor > Hovers
Stacking annotations vertically is an interesting idea... The preference for the roll-over hover is on the Java>Editor preference page, on the 'Hovers' tab.

No plans to work on this unless we get a good quality patch.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
