Hello, I would suggest to create a web browser plugin for eclipse like there are ones for flash, applets, and so on... The idea is to access a web site which stores a rcp application which enables to make it running into a web browser like a flash animation for instance does. So there is nothing to install on the machine (excepting the jre of course)and the application and its framework is downloaded in background. Thsi could also enable to build applications mixing pure web and RCP in the same browser for instance through frames.. regards xavier
Xavier, while this is not a bad idea, the Eclipse team has no plans to implement such a plug-in in the foreseeable. We do however want to make it easier to deploy RCP apps. For example, see bug 48416. If a browser plug-in for Eclipse is something you'd like to investigate yourself, please comment here, and we may be able to help you with some pointers.
