Description Jared Burns CLA 2004-10-14 15:59:02 EDT
Build 20041013
Linux-GTK

1. Bring up the File Associations preference page.
2. Add a new file type and a new associated editor (for example *.html > TextEditor).
3. Click OK.
4. The CPU gets pegged at 100% for 15 seconds and then the preference dialog closes.

Do we have any idea why this takes so incredibly long?
Comment 2 Tod Creasey CLA 2004-12-10 07:52:55 EST
We haven't had a chance to investigate yet.
Comment 3 Tod Creasey CLA 2005-06-30 13:55:17 EDT
I can't replicate this in 3.1 on Red Hat Enterprise 4.0. Jared can you still
make this happen and if so can you give me some details on your configuration
please?
Comment 4 Jared Burns CLA 2005-06-30 14:07:17 EDT
This was around for a while, but someone must have fixed the cause of the
problem for 3.1. I can no longer reproduce.
