build I20040924-0800

From within the Sync view, did a Mark as Merged.
The string shown in the progress indicator at bottom left was truncated in the
middle.
Hovering over the progress indicator does not show any tooltip.
Had to double-click and look at it in the progress view.

The progress indicator should have a tooltip that shows the full, untruncated,
text of the current message.  

It should also update if the message changes while the tooltip is showing.

Hovering over the "job result icon" doesn't seem to be showing me anything either.

No it has not - at least not for me using 3.3 RC4:
1. it still shows the truncated message 
2. hovering over the truncated message does nothing
3. hovering over the icon shows 'No Changes'

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
