Javier is working on a similar item for RPT -- this task work begins in early
February, 2005, at that time Javier and Scott will meet and decide if any of
Javier's work (creating an ANT task for launching tests) can be promoted to
Hyades and then Javier use this (to avoid duplicate work).

Now that we have a "3.3" Version in bugzilla, updating bugzillas targeted to 3.3
or a 3.3 iteration so that their Version matches their Target. "future",
"unspecified", "4.0", and "4.1" Versions will not be updated.

This enhancement request is well underway and we're in good shape for API
freeze. The implementation still needs to be complete but all the public-
facing API and ant task schema, etc, are developed and a prototype
implementation is delivered.

The base intrastructure is in place, no extension points for test execution
come by default by can be created by downstream products.

Reopening for the work that remains for 74805, which will be contained in TPTP 4.1.
Comment 11 Ruth Lee CLA 2005-07-13 10:09:17 EDT
Change to ASSIGNED as per the 4.1 plan.
Comment 12 Scott E. Schneider CLA 2005-08-22 14:07:02 EDT
This work is 50% complete but will not be delivered until 4.1 i2; test execution
service is nearly complete and the remaining work is left on automation service
framework improvements, clean-up and evolution.

I would like to schedule a demo to the interested parties some time during i2
after work is complete.

DuWayne Morris at IBM sent me the shell client adapters this week for general
service execution, I will integrate these before the end of the week.

There will be three to four additional defects immediately opened to address:

o IAC support via the "connection" property (IAC, RAC, user id and password for
secure situations)
o Absolute path support for various file related inputs (project relative is
supported) along with classpath setting (since project is not specified)
o Writing automated tests for the test pass
o Integrating and testing shell scripts for Windows and Linux
