Description Peter John Golda CLA 2004-06-29 05:44:23 EDT
In Resource view, I can right click on one or more files, or folders, choose
the Team submenu and click "Add to .cvsignore". However, if I select a file
AND a folder together, the options to "Add to .cvsignore" and "Add to version
control" are missing. Why disallow these operations on a file and folder when
they are allowed on these items if dealt with individually?
Comment 1 Michael Valenta CLA 2004-06-29 09:27:11 EDT
This works for me except when the selected file is inside the selected folder.
If this is not the case for you, please reopen with more details about the
relationship between the selected file and folder (i.e. same project, etc.).

1. Change to CVS perspective, and browse from CVS root to a module
2. Right click - Check out as
3. Check out as project in workspace, project name: ignoretest, click Finish
4. Change to Resource perspective
5. Right click on project - New Folder, name foo
6. Click on foo
7. Control click on .project (which is also not in cvs, or another file not in
cvs). Both file and folder are on the same level.
8. Right click - Team - only two options are "Commit" and "Synchronise with
Rep"
9. Right click on foo alone, or on .project alone, and each one now has the
options "Add to .cvsignore" and "Add to version control"

Summary of my problem: Why is "Add to .cvsingore" not available when the file
AND folder are selected?
