It would be very valuable to be able to optionally print line numbers with 
printed listings.  

We've had to copy code out of Eclipse and into Word so that we can print with 
line numbers (for inspections and code review).

This isn't on our list of features to add in 2.0 but it would be an interestign 
feature. Now that we are an open source project adding this feature is a 
candidate for a third party contribution. Are you interested?

This is no longer a duplicate of bug 19602, which is fixed at SWT level only. Line numbers are still not printed by the text editor or derivatives.

The story in SWT isn't complete yet, see my comment in bug 19602. I prepared the Platform Text side of this fix so that we can go live once the patch from bug 19602 got committed to HEAD.

Platform Text code is in HEAD i.e. line numbers are now printed but wrong (0-based and no folding support) until SWT patch is committed.
