3.0rc1
we have find/replace in console but i got so used to incremental find that it
really bugs me that it's not available in console
(i mean, incremental find without the dialog - the ctrl+J version)

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 45017 ***

This is not a duplicate of the linked bug. This bug asks for command-J (incremental) to work in the console, without bringing up the find dialog at all, like it does in an editor.

The linked is about how Find Next is disabled (e.g., in the edit menu) after performing a Find action with the find dialog.

I'm also frustrated that incremental search does not work in the console.

Can this be re-opened, or is there another, more appropriate duplicate? I could not find one by googling.

The intention was to include this as part of Bug 45017 as we enable the Find Next.

As mentioned by Christian on bug 45017, incremental search is not a really a dup of find next/previous. So let's reopen.
