Description Markus Gebhard CLA 2004-05-24 13:50:56 EDT
The color palettes of the new Icons in 3.0M9 are not compliant to the ones
specified in the Eclipse User Interface Guidelines, Version 2.1 (http://www.
eclipse.org/articles/Article-UI-Guidelines/Contents.html#IconSpecsPal_VDG)

For example none of the 44 colors in org.eclipse.debug.ui_3.0.
0/icons/full/etool16/run_exc.gif are part of the 256 color palette.

Either should there be an update to the User Interface Guidelines, or the
Eclipse icon colors need to be adjusted to fit the specified palettes.
Comment 1 Tod Creasey CLA 2006-04-13 21:55:45 EDT
The icons were refreshed in 3.2
Comment 2 Kim Peter CLA 2006-04-17 09:19:40 EDT
Markus is refering to the palette used to create the new look icon in 3.0. This was never posted in the form of updated guidelines.

Albeit late, I will be providing an update to core design resources, including palette.

This is related to bug #115983.

As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
