Description Tanya Wolff CLA 2004-04-21 16:49:34 EDT
Using MS Inspect Objects, the state of the target tree in the make targets view
doesn't change when expanding or collapsing the tree. Create a target and
collaps the tree, bringing focus to the root of the tree. When the tree is
collapsed, and Inspect indicates the state as collapsed, expanding the tree
will not reflect in the Inspect tool until focus is taken away and returned to
the root of the tree.

The same thing happens with any tree in any view (Navigator, C/C++ Projects).
Not CDT specific.
Comment 2 Brent Nicolle CLA 2004-05-12 09:15:17 EDT
Please reassign to component owner for Platform/UI.

Done.
Comment 4 Steve Northover CLA 2004-06-07 15:16:28 EDT
Platform UI, not Platform SWT.
Comment 5 Carolyn MacLeod CLA 2004-08-27 03:26:33 EDT
Need to retest this with latest JAWS (5.1) and latest eclipse (at least 3.0).

Taking ownership, and then closing as WONTFIX.
This is a bug in the MSAA Inspector when it looks at SysTreeView32 controls.
To see this, try using the MSAA Inspector to look at any Tree, including the
left pane of the Windows File Explorer.
Whether you use the mouse to click the +, or the keyboard for left/right arrow
keys, the 'expanded/collapsed' state of the outline item is not updated until
the item is reselected, either by tabbing out and shift+tab back in, or by
using down/up arrows.
However, note that both Window-Eyes and JAWS read the state change correctly.
Changing title to be more precise.

Closing.
