Description Jared Burns CLA 2004-04-13 18:23:22 EDT
The Javadoc on IWorkbenchPage#showActionSet(String) doesn't answer the biggest question
about this method - what does it mean? From the user point of view, at least, action sets are
associated with perspectives. If there was an API to show an action set in a *perspective*, that
would make intuitive sense to me. But telling a page (which contains multiple perspectives) to
show an action set doesn't seem right at first glance.

By looking at the implementation, I can see that telling a workbench page to show an action set
means telling the active perspective in that page to show it. The Javadoc on the method should
mention this.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
