In the Git Staging commit message area, the Ctrl-space completion has stopped working, seeming to coincide with the 2021-09 release.

I'm not sure if that is Egit specific or not, but I can't reproduce, so no idea where it could be coming from.

Thomas, some ideas what could be changed in platform UI that would affect EGit, or is this something for EGit? Some hidden feature or missing configuration or the like?

AFAIK we didn't change anything in EGit in that area in 5.12 or 5.13. Don't know about platform (or JDT?). Wasn't there some change having to do with activation characters? Searching... bug 539929 maybe? And didn't Simon fix something in this area in EGit? But I think that went in in EGit 5.11 already.
