Something is broken in the way the integration with MacOS Keychain is implemented.

First you have to reset (change) a password that never was set. That's just a stupid interface design and then you never get a chance to specify a new password (But you can write password hints!?), it sets itself. But before all of this, you get a non-inuitive error message if you, when you perform a Team -> Commit, ask Eclipse to save the password.

But these are just minor nitpicks, the big issue here is that the password is never stored in the Keychain. Every time I restart Eclipse (2020-09 or 2020-12) I have to set the password again. And I have the same issue on two different computers (one with Big Sur and one with Catalina).

1. Are you really using CVS?

2. Are there any related errors in the log?
