Hello guys, I just got the latest eclipse version and I'm normally using the Dark mode theme. Unfortunatelly with the new version I cannot use dark theme any more. If I open the Eclipse settings I have black font on black background. The only solution is to use light mode. Hopefully you find the bug. Thanks for that. MeantimeI switch back to older version. Which version are you using? CDT or the Java one?
Hello Lars, I use Eclipse as a C++ development environment. The CDT plugin is installed.
Perhaps, there is something wrong with my custom settings. I'll try a fresh eclipse install and provide some information.

(In reply to Devin Callahan from comment #4) > Created attachment 285079 [details] > Shows how Dark theme renders things as black on black My apologies for the multiple comments, I am bad with this reporting tool. That screenshot shows what my system looks like. This is on Ubuntu 20.04 running Eclipse 4.18.0

I can confirm that I have the same problem, not only in settings or search window, but also in the background of some toolbar icons. I'm using Version: 2020-12 (4.18.0) also with CDT.
I can also confirm that I have the same problem with dark mode being unreadable (black on black). I just installed 2020-12 with CDT. Eclipse auto imported my dark mode setting from my 2019-09.

Hi folks, Sorry about the problem you have encountered with the black on black. The Trace Compass project is working on rolling out an official fix, but in the meantime there is a workaround for 2020-12 provided by Holger Voormann in Bug 569790 Comment 14 - see step-by-step if needed in Bug 569790 Comment 18 Thank you for your patience and taking the time to report the bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 569790 ***
