Description Lars Vogel CLA 2020-12-03 05:29:46 EST
I think we should improve the usability of CTRL+F6, F7 and F8. Currently I have no filter box like in CTRL+3 and I have to keep holding the CTRL key to keep the dialog open.

I suggest to change it so that is similar to CTRL+3, e.g.

- Offers a filter box
- Allow navigation via the key board
- Closes on ESC instead of letting go of CTRL

Please keep in mind the (original) difference between these commands, i.e. Quick switching vs Next/Previous.

For instance, CTRL+E (Quick switch editor) gives the requested behavior for CTRL+F6 (Next Editor), and CTRL+SHIFT+F6 (Previous Editor).

For Views and Perspectives (F7, F8), I don't know if an equivalent exists.
