I was using Eclipse 2020-09, and it would almost always hang in Initlaizing Java Tooling - some of the bug reports suggested deleting the .logs in workspace/.metadata , so I did this every time, but this didn't always work, and it was getting very frustrating!  

It seemed to involve Buildship, but I didn't keep the logs - sorry!

I have now switched to 2020-03, and the problem has gone away!  I am afraid I don't know what 4.xx version it was...

I thought I would report this as I never found a surefire way of fixing it, and I need to be able to do my work!  :-)  2020-03 seems to be working fine... so far!

Please attach full error log and jstack thread dump at the time Eclipse hangs.

Sorry, Andrey, I wanted to keep my query private!

So... can I uninstall Buildship alone?  If so, I could switch back to 2020-09 - and give you more info.
