Possible improvement in "Install New Software..." dialog: It should allow user to "Install: From Existing Installation" as well. So users are more likely to use "Install: From Existing Installation" feature, IMO it seems hidden under the Import flow only.

In that case I would also expect "Install: from description file (p2f)" - that would install from such files like https://git.eclipse.org/c/platform/eclipse.platform.ui.git/plain/releng/org.eclipse.ui.releng/platformUiTools.p2f. And if we would be really cool, we could accept not only local files but also url's like the one above.
Created attachment 284485 [details] mock idea Looking at the current "Install" dialog I think the simplest solution would be to add two links to the mentioned wizards.

This would be an improvement in the "Import Software Configuration" wizard (Install > Install Software Item from File). It can be done in a separate bug. This should work for this bug. Looks good.

Looks good. Mickael, does this look like an #easyFix? It needs to add two new links to open the existing wizards.

While links can be a good start, this dialog has many opportunities to improve IMO. I'll open individual bugs about those proposals and link them here.
