Dark theme showing

Often I see the dark theme popup even when no theming is active. This is not with the latest release, I also saw this in previous releases.

Eclipse SDK
Version: 2020-09 (4.17)
Build id: I20200722-1800
OS: Windows 8, v.6.2, x86_64 / win32
Java version: 11.0.7

When switching themes, I noticed that some of the changes are (also) stored in the preferences. Can you check the settings in General > Appearance > Colors and Fonts, to see if the dark colors originate from there? If 'Reset' is enabled, it is not on its original value.

Good one, Rolf. I looked at General/Appearance/Colors and Fonts. Indeed, the reset box was active. However, after pressing reset, the editors were still not ok.

I then looked at General/Editors/Text Editors and also pressed "Restore Defaults" on this page. This removed the residual dark theme settings.
