I run eclipse on both a dual-headed box and a laptop. Both boxen are the same in respects to JDK (1.4.2_03), Linux distribution and window manager (Gentoo, KDE 3.2.1) and Eclipse version (I200403260800 GTK). In the CVS Repository Exploring perspective I have the Team->Synchronize view. Whenever I click on the Synchronize icon (in the view), I have a pop-up appearing, asking which projects to synchronize. On the laptop, this pop-up is a reasonable size (approx 2/3 of the screen in width?) On the (dual-headed) workstation, the pop-up appears as if maximized width-wise on one screen. If I make the window maximize (so it takes all of one screen) and then restore, it goes back to a size comparable to the size it is on the laptop.
This also happens with the Features Updates window Help->Software Updates->Find and Install
Don't have time to investigate for 3.0.
Marco, we have changed the nature of the dialog mentioned in this report (i.e. we removed one of the pages). Although we have not had time to try to reproduce this ourselves, could you check to see if this is still occurring on your setup with 3.0 M9?
I'm sorry for the delay -- I just got back into the office today. This still happens with the synchronize pop-up in M9 and 3.0RC1.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
