I've been approached by a company who wants to make some contributions to Mosquitto. They are concerned that having an employee sign the ECA then deals with all Eclipse projects equally, and that if an employee decides to contribute to other projects in their spare time, for example, then that looks as though it is allowed by them when in practice it may not be, with potential IP implications for the company. Is there any possibility of having an ECA that only applies to certain projects, so they could sign for Mosquitto, but no other projects, for example? I remember this option existing for committers in the past. The open ended nature of the current ECA to the whole of Eclipse is the concern by the management. Alternatively, can I put someone better placed to talk about this in direct contact with them?
