Description Chris Jordan CLA 2019-12-22 10:52:40 EST
Despite Product and Version above, this product is Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers Version: 2018-12 (4.10.0)

Steps:

1) In Project Explorer, engage Link with Editor https://archive.is/K1Icx
2) Double-click a file to open in editor (in same tab group)
3) Return to Project Explorer and attempt to drag that file to another folder

Expected: success
Observed: fail, with drag terminated by the IDE switching to the editor.

The Project Explorer component of "Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers Version: 2018-12 (4.10.0)" is provided by "Eclipse Platform Version 4.10"

And a user is supposed to know that... how?
Comment 3 Jonah Graham CLA 2019-12-22 16:06:39 EST
They are not. That is why I triaged it.

> They are not.

Thanks for that info. How about making the bug form respect that? I.e. allow the regular user to make a report without bogus values for Product?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
