Description Paul Benedict CLA 2019-09-23 15:28:28 EDT
This is an enhancement request to the Preferences dialog.

I find no keyboard shortcut to focus on the filtering text box. Once focus moves elsewhere, the only ways to refocus are:
1) Direct mouse click
2) Series of reverse tabbing

Has a keyboard shortcut been previously considered?

If it were added, it must not interfere with any preference control hot keys. That sounds simple enough though. Those hot keys all use a simple modifier like ALT+<key>, right? If so, the new keyboard shortcut would be a multi-key modifier like CTRL+ALT+<key>.
