Description Rolf Theunissen CLA 2019-08-16 04:35:19 EDT
I was searching for the release notes (readme) because I know it exists. It seems very hard to find. Google for "eclipse release notes" and all you get are the New and Noteworthy.

Release notes are also not mentioned on this page:
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/eclipse/releases/4.12.0

I think that the release notes become more accessible if a link is added to them in the N&N pages.

Overall, it might the way that N&N and release notes can be found on the website might need some more attention.

B.t.w. the https://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/development/ page is heavily outdated.

I can add a link to the release notes in the main N&N page for 4.12 and 4.13 (https://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/news/4.12/).

When I google "Eclipse release notes", I get the link to Eclipse Project Release Notes for 4.11 [1], though not as the first result.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
