When a file which has enough data for horizontal scrollbar to appear, upon horizontal scrolling, text gets distorted in editor.
It is confirmed observed in Java Editor, Compare Editor, Text editor.

Thanks for your effort to demonstrate the problem but it is already tracked in bug 548491.
