Description Lukasz T CLA 2019-01-08 09:43:42 EST
When i press Alt-Shift-X, small windows with execution options appear, but it looks like Eclipse is loosing focus completely, i cannot continue by pressing just J or T (to run java or test).
I need to click with my mouse inside Eclipse windows once (or i can choose run option from menu to execute), and then i can press T to run a test.

freshly installed (to confirm the bug):

Eclipse IDE for Java Developers

Can't reproduce on RHEL 7.4 / GTK 3.22 / X11 / 4.11 master.
Are you on Wayland?

I also have encounter this same bug in current and prior versions (not sure how far back) and I am running on Windows 10.
It sometimes and only occurs for me shortly after launching eclipse (haven't noticed any special sequence of steps to reproduce issue). After the initial occurrence and the issue is resolved by steps mentioned by OP the issue does not recur during that same eclipse session.

Spring Tool Suite
Version: 3.9.7.RELEASE
Build Id: 201812201326
OS: Windows 10, v.10.0, x86_64 / win32
Java version: 1.8.0_192

If it happens on Windows and GTK it's likely not an SWT issue. Moving to Platform UI for comment.

Today it happened again.
Never had such problem (during 6 months) on previous Eclipse in the same environment.
Restarting Eclipse 2018-12 didn't help, however at the same time i could run previous version and it was fine.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
