On Eclipse for PHP Developers (guessing "Product: PDT" on this form is a sloppy reference to that product) V 2018-09 (4.9.0) (assuming this form's lack of that version is in error) I created a project and PHP file, clicked Run, and got a dialog box showing the apparently malformed sentence "Run the current selection as" (sic) https://i.imgur.com/8Ds5Etl.png .

I'm not sure what's wrong with this popup. You talking about description text that is hidden because popup is too small?

What's wrong is the malformed sentence "Run the current selection as".

Yes.

Size isn't the culprit. Adjusting but then restoring size (using the invisible resize button in the bottom right-hand corner) leaves the missing word "server" showing. Reducing the width leaves it showing -- on a second line.
