Created attachment 273977 [details] screenshot I just had to accept an Eclipse Foundation certificate during installation. That certificate shows backslashes in its name and other details, both in the confirmation dialog as well as in the certificate details dialog. I cannot differentiate, whether that is an issue in displaying the certificate fields, or if really the certificate itself contains those characters. (and I apologize, if the bug therefore has wrong project and component) See screenshot
Could you please also add a sshot of the details of the certificate? Thanks.
Screenshot of certificate details available in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/attachment.cgi?id=273976 (please ignore the highlighting, it is for another bug). BTW: While I have seen the certificate confirmation dialog many times during the last years, this was the first time I saw such a backslash. That's why I would suspect the certificate itself to contain the bad characters (unless there were some recent changes in the related UI code).

Major. This is a licensing bug and has a direct impact on EGIT installation. See Bug 543439.
