The interface IStylingEngine is not intended to be referenced by clients now. But in some cases, there are have requirements to set classname and Style. Can we adjust the restrictive or provide public API for that ?

Not planned for the next future. If you want to use official API, just use setData, see http://www.vogella.com/tutorials/Eclipse4CSS/article.html#styling-based-on-identifiers-and-classes
