Description Davyd Norris CLA 2017-11-02 21:50:12 EDT
In a BIRT report containing defined Styles, the current Word emitter simply applies the formatting information directly to each each element. This means that, in a Word export, elements lose the connection to their applied style and if you wish to change the look and feel of the generated document you must reformat every element.

Instead, if a Style has been defined in the BIRT report, the Word emitter should create a corresponding style in the Word document, and then apply that style to the report elements. This way you only need to change the overall style in the generated document.

Additionally, it would be ideal to be able to import existing Word style information to create styles in the report - in the same way you can import CSS files to create styles now.
