**System Info:**
Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus)
Java version "1.8.0_121" JDK

**Reproduction Steps:**
1. Download eclipse-jee-oxygen-M2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz  OR  eclipse-java-oxygen-1-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz
2. Unzip it to a convenient location
3. Start Eclipse
4. Go to Help -> Eclipse Marketplace and install e(fx)clipse 2.4.0
5. Try to create a new "JavaFX project"
Results:
Eclipse hangs at "Building workspace 19%"

When this is happening, can you please run `jstack` command to see what the application is doing and share the stacktraces on this bug (as an attachment as this can be very long content)

I think you are seeing a variation of https://github.com/eclipse/efxclipse-eclipse/issues/19 but a thread dump would help to see if this really the case - BTW it looks like i forgot to update the Marketplace entry because 3.0.0 is the current version (who still has the mentionned deadlock)

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.
